The Brompton Cocktail project, conceived by curator Jane Withers for the 10th anniversary of the Brompton Design District, brought together 15 designers or design studios that have been part of Brompton's success over the last decade.
Based on the legend of the original Brompton Cocktail administered for palliative care at the Royal Brompton Hospital in the 1920s, the brief was to design a cocktail, either real, realisable or conceptual.
As the project manager, I worked closely with Jane Withers Studio to deliver four main elements: a sponsored event for 300 invited guests with cocktails by contributing designers; a limited edition book of the cocktail recipes; an installation by Arabeschi di Latte combining the cocktail book, slideshow of Brompton's past exhibitions and a cocktail bar; and a communications strategy with independent PRs.
The graphics and book were designed by StudioP2P.
