Welcome to the world of Ilado! This Paris-based company makes beautiful contemporary products for the joyful, urban mother.
The company was founded by friends Celia Bonahon and Sandra Zeller who felt the need for inspiring and modern mother and baby products. They set about working with contemporary designers to reinterpret themes of traditional motherhood: the first collection, the Mexican Bola, is traditionally worn by pregnant ladies and offers a subtle soothing sound in tune with the wearers movements. Once the baby is born, the Bola can then be hung on the baby's cot as a constant reminder of his or her mother.
Ilado's Bola necklaces are beautiful pieces of jewellery in their own right, worn by all. Ilado worked with two contemporary designers: the London-based jewellery designer Alice Cicolini and the Swiss-based industrial designer Veronika Gombert.
